Worried about Pompeys' plight

I now see Pompey Executive Director Mark Jacob has announced that the club's "financial future is close to being resolved" and that players will be paid. I like (hope) to think that the squad would be up for each game - paid or not, but as the whole situation goes on, how can they be expected to? Would you, if your employers consistently fed you bull and paid you late, (regardless of the difference in wages these players would be earning to you or I?) Pompey supporters do get praise for being some of the best in the country (though there are many just as vocal, supportive at other clubs who get less 'press') and i think we've - bar a few justifiable voices at recent games - been just as supportive as ever. But I like many have given up listening to anything that comes out the club, as 99% of recent information has been proved to be false. This just makes Mark Jacobs quote that "The fans should be assured that the long-term future of Portsmouth is going to be secured" all the more worrying.
